904c47fc7d mpc83xx: Make distinct caddy2 config
vme8349.h contains two separate boards: The vme8349 itself, and the
caddy2 board. The caddy2 board is chosen by setting certain config
variables. Create a proper config file for the caddy2 board to make
Kconfig migration easier.

Furthermore, simplify the vme8349 and caddy2 configs by keeping only the
options necessary for each board.

16aaca214e mpc83xx: Make distinct MPC8313ERDB targets
MPC8313ERDB has the option of either enabling NOR or NAND boot in its
config file (by commenting out certain #ifdefs). To keep this ability
after migrating options to Kconfig, we introduce two MPC8313ERDB
configs: one for NOR, and one for NAND.

71c790097b keymile: Make distinct kmsupx5, tuge1, kmopti2, and kmtepr2 configs
The kmsupx5, tuge1, kmopti2, and kmtepr2 boards all build from the same
include config file with lots of #ifdef logic.

To ease Kconfig migration, create new config include files for these
boards, and resolve the #ifdef logic as needed.

0e0674fcab keymile: Make distinct kmtegr1, kmvect1, suvd3 configs
The kmtegr1, kmvect1, and suvd3 boards all use the same config include
file with lots of #ifdefs in it.

The Kconfig migation will become easier if we get rid of these #ifdefs
first.

Hence, create distinct config include files for these boards, and unwind
the #ifdef logic in these config files to only include the options
necessary for each board.

d1337210d1 wandboard: Don't use I2C speed Kconfig settings with DM_I2C
When using DM_I2C the speed value supplied to setup_i2c() is not used,
so this code required CONFIG_SYS_MXC_I2C[12]_SPEED to be defined to
compile, but did not actually use them.

Change this so we no longer need to define an unused macro to compile in
DM_I2C mode. Also make it more clear that they do not control the bus
speed. Otherwise it is quite easy to mistakenly believe they are used
to set the bus speed.

8aa278df0a riscv: qemu: Use correct SYS_TEXT_BASE for S-mode on 32bit system
For 32bit system, the OpenSBI (or BBL) will jump to 0x80400000 address

Currently, the S-mode U-Boot sets SYS_TEXT_BASE to 0x80200000 for both

This patch sets different SYS_TEXT_BASE for 32bit and 64bit system so
that S-mode U-Boot works fine for both.

539f0242f3 arm: mvebu: turris_omnia: add RESET button handling
There is a Factory RESET button on the back side of the Turris Omnia
router. When user presses this button before powering the device up and
keeps it pressed, the microcontroller prevents the main CPU from booting
and counts how long the RESET button is being pressed (and indicates
this by lighting up front LEDs).

The idea behind this is that the user can boot the device into several
Factory RESET modes.

This patch adds support for U-Boot to read into which Factory RESET mode
the user booted the device. The value is an integer stored into the
omnia_reset environment variable. It is 0 if the button was not pressed
at all during power up, otherwise it is the number identifying the
Factory RESET mode.

This patch also changes bootcmd to a special hardcoded value if Factory
RESET button was pressed during device powerup. This special bootcmd
value sets the colors of all the LEDs on the front panel to green and
then tries to load the rescue image from the SPI flash memory and boot
it.

f4b9f0bdba board/BuR/common: add br resetcontoller implementation
On many B&R boards we have a reset-controller, responsible for very

2fac7a8294 board/BuR/common: add 'brdefaulip_setup' function
Many B&R boards are equipped with an I2C-EEPROM where various

Today there is only a single byte for 'board_id' used.

We write this 'board_id' into environment for later use during boot.

If the value != 0xFF, meaning the byte is programmed, we modify the
"brdefaultip" environment variable for setting an IP-Address based on

06985289d4 watchdog: Implement generic watchdog_reset() version
This patch tries to implement a generic watchdog_reset() function that
can be used by all boards that want to service the watchdog device in
U-Boot. This watchdog servicing is enabled via CONFIG_WATCHDOG.

Without this approach, new boards or platforms needed to implement a
board specific version of this functionality, mostly copy'ing the same
code over and over again into their board or platforms code base.

With this new generic function, the scattered other functions are now
removed to be replaced by the generic one. The new version also enables
the configuration of the watchdog timeout via the DT "timeout-sec"
property (if enabled via CONFIG_OF_CONTROL).

This patch also adds a new flag to the GD flags, to flag that the
watchdog is ready to use and adds the pointer to the watchdog device
to the GD. This enables us to remove the global "watchdog_dev"
variable, which was prone to cause problems because of its potentially
very early use in watchdog_reset(), even before the BSS is cleared.

aa34505653 ARM: imx6: DHCOM i.MX6 PDK: use Kconfig for inclusion of DDR calibration
The four x16 DDR3 are wired in T-topology. From NXP AN4467:
'Although not required, T-Topologies may also benefit from performing
Write Leveling as there are package delays on both the processor and DDR
devices that can be de-skewed by performing Write Leveling. Therefore,
Freescale recommends determining Write Leveling calibration parameters
for all boards, regardless of topology used.'

4e267b92fb pico-imx7d: Convert DM MMC
This patch enable convert DM MMC for imx7d-pico board and variant.

Before the DM conversion only usdhc3 was enabled and therefore it appeared
as MMC 0 to u-boot. After enabling MMC DM though usdhc3 defaults to MMC 2,
which left unattended would drive changes to existing pico-pi bootscripts and
environment variables that rely on mmc 0.

Setup the alias of mmc0 and usdhc3 so that existing pico-imx7d boot code will
work unmodified.

When converting to DM_MMC it is necessary that SPL initializes eMMC
by itself, so move the original eMMC initialization from U-Boot
proper to SPL.

This patch makes the on-board RTC work on the socfpga_socrates board.
This rtc is present on the board, but it does not work (fails with a
timeout).

This patch adds a weak pull-up on the I2C0-SCL pin connected to the m41t82
RTC on this board. While the SDA line has a pull-up on the pcb, the pull-up
on the SCL line seems to be missing. To work around this, enable the
weak-pull-up feature on this pin.

After applying this patch, the rtc timeout is gone and the 'date' command
can access the rtc chip.

001d1885f0 sandbox: Improve debugging in initcall_run_list()
At present if one of the initcalls fails on sandbox the address printing
is not help, e.g.:

initcall sequence 0000557678967c80 failed at call 00005576709dfe1f (err=-96)

This is because U-Boot gets relocated high into memory and the relocation
offset (gd->reloc_off) does not work correctly for sandbox.

Add support for finding the base address of the text region (at least on
Linux) and use that to set the relocation offset. This makes the output
better:

initcall sequence 0000560775957c80 failed at call 0000000000048134 (err=-96)

Then you use can use grep to see which init call failed, e.g.:

   $ grep 0000000000048134 u-boot.map
   stdio_add_devices

Of course another option is to run it with a debugger such as gdb:

   $ gdb u-boot
   ...
   (gdb) br initcall.h:41
   Breakpoint 1 at 0x4db9d: initcall.h:41. (2 locations)

Note that two locations are reported, since this function is used in both
board_init_f() and board_init_r().

6fe7dd3327 stm32mp1: add stusb1600 support for DK1 and DK2 board
The DK1 and DK2 boards use the USB Type-C controller STUSB1600.
This patch updates:

- the board stm32mp1 to probe this I2C device and use this controller
  to check cable detection.
- the DWC2 driver to support a new dt property
"u-boot,force-b-session-valid" which forces B session and

f8c8669760 sunxi: update SATA driver to always use DM_SCSI
It seems like the Allwinner SATA driver is already quite capable of
using the driver model, so we can force this on all boards and can
remove support for a non-DM_SCSI build.
This removes the warning about boards with SATA ports not being
DM_SCSI compliant.

It also takes the opportunity to move the driver out of the board/sunxi
directory to join its siblings in drivers/ata, and to make it a proper
Kconfig citizen.

The board defconfigs stay untouched.

6218d4bdce colibri_imx6: revert fuse value set in mfgr_fuse
We have two commands to change the bootmode fuses:
mfgr_fuse which set fuse 0/5 and 0/6
and
updt_fuse which burns bit 4 of 0/5.

Before Image 2.6 we fused in mfgr_fuse 0x5062, which boots
from the user partition of the eMMC.
To workaround certain hangs we moved to fastboot mode and
using the first bootpartition of the eMMC requiring a fuse
value of 0x5072 which could be achived by the then added
updt_fuse command. At the same time the mfgr_fuse command
was changed to also fuse 0x5072, revert that second change
so that one can fuse both values, one with just mfgr_fuse
and the later with mfgr_fuse;updt_fuse.

Note that the mfgr_fuse command is only needed at module
production time, a customer might need to use updt_fuse
when upgrading an older module to be compatible with a
newer image. The command is integrated into the image
update scripts.

0a590243d1 arm: mvebu: AXP: Enhance PCIe port capability configuration
This patch enables the PCIe port specific link capabilities configuration
for Armada XP. The weak function board_sat_r_get() was used to return
a common flag for PCIe Gen1 vs Gen2 capability for all PCIe ports. This
is now changed with this patch to return a bit per PCIe port (4 bits
in this case, bit 0 for PCIe port 0, etc).

The theadorable board uses this new feature to configure PCIe port 0
as Gen1 and all other PCIe ports as Gen2 capable. All other AXP boards
using this function are not changed in the configuration and still
configure all ports as PCIe Gen2.

This patch also removes the parameter "pex_mode" from
