67055bee25 ARM: DRA7: Change configuration to prevent DDR reset control from EMIF
DRA7/AM57xx devices can be operated in many different configurations.
When the SoC is supposed to support a configuration where low power mode
state may involve the SoC completely powered off and DDR is in self
refresh, SoC EMIF controller should not be the master of the reset
signal and an external entity might be in control of things.

The default configuration of Linux on TI evms involve not powering off
the voltage rails (due to various reasons including reliability concerns)
and must not allow DDR reset to be controlled by EMIF. On platforms
where external entity might control the reset signal, this configuration
will be a "dont care".

7c352cd38d am33xx: Re-enable SW levelling for DDR2
The recent changes for hw leveling on am33xx were not intended for
DDR2 boards, only DDR3. Update emif_sdram_type to take a sdram_config
value to check against. This lets us pass in the value we would use to
configure, when we have not yet configured the board yet. In other cases
update the call to be as functional as before and check an already
programmed value in.

71bed1855f ARM: DRA7: Add support for manual mode configuration
In addition to the regular mux configuration, certain pins of DRA7
require to have "manual mode" also programmed, when predefined
delay characteristics cannot be used for the interface.

struct iodelay_cfg_entry is introduced for populating
manual mode IO timings.
For configuring manual mode, along with the normal pad
configuration do the following steps:
- Select MODESELECT field of each assocaited PAD.
  CTRL_CORE_PAD_XXX[8]:MODESELECT = 1(Enable MANUAL_MODE macro along with mux)
- Populate A_DELAY, G_DELAY values that are specified in DATA MANUAL.
And pass the offset of the CFG_XXX register in iodelay_cfg_entry.

eda6fbcc8c ARM: DRA7: Add support for IO delay configuration
On DRA7, in addition to the regular muxing of pins, an additional
hardware module called IODelay which is also expected to be
configured. This "IODelay" module has it's own register space that is
independent of the control module.

It is advocated strongly in TI's official documentation considering
the existing design of the DRA7 family of processors during mux or
IODelay recalibration, there is a potential for a significant glitch
which may cause functional impairment to certain hardware. It is
hence recommended to do muxing as part of IOdelay recalibration.

IODELAY recalibration sequence:
- Complete AVS voltage change on VDD_CORE_L
- Unlock IODLAY config registers.
- Perform IO delay calibration with predefined values.
- Isolate all the IOs
- Update the delay mechanism for each IO with new calibrated values.
- Configure PAD configuration registers
- De-isolate all the IOs.
- Relock IODELAY config registers.

4564faeafb ti: dwc3: Enable clocks in enable_basic_clocks() in hw_data.c
Commit d3cfcb3 (ARM: DRA7: Enable clocks for USB OTGSS and USB PHY)
changed the member names of prcm_regs from cm_l3init_usb_otg_ss_clkctrl
to cm_l3init_usb_otg_ss1_clkctrl and from cm_coreaon_usb_phy_core_clkctrl
to cm_coreaon_usb_phy1_core_clkctrl in order to differentiate between
the two dwc3 controllers present in dra7xx/am43xx and enabled these
clocks in enable_basic_clocks() in hw_data.c. However these clocks
continued to be enabled in board files/driver files for dwc3 host
mode functionality causing compilation break with few configs.

Fixed it here by making all the clocks enabled in enable_basic_clocks()
and removing it from board files/driver files here.

b558af8128 ARM: OMAP5: DRA7xx: Add support for power rail grouping
On the DRA72x (J6Eco) EVM one PMIC SMPS is powering three SoC
core rails. This concept of using one SMPS to supply multiple
core domains (in various, although limited combinations, per
primary device use case) has now become common and is used by
many customer J6/J6Eco designs; it is supported by a number of
corresponding PMIC OTP versions.

This patch implements correct operation of the core voltages
scaling routine by ensuring that each SMPS that is supplying
more than one domain shall be written only once, and with the
highest voltage of those fused in the SoC (or of those defined
in the corresponding header if fuse read is disabled or fails)
for the power rails belonging to the group.

The patch also replaces some PMIC-related magic numbers with
the appropriate definitions. The default OPP_NOM voltages for
the DRA7xx SoCs are updated as well, per the latest DMs.

9e4140329e kbuild: change out-of-tree build
This commit changes the working directory
where the build process occurs.

Before this commit, build process occurred under the source
tree for both in-tree and out-of-tree build.

That's why we needed to add $(obj) prefix to all generated
files in makefiles like follows:
  $(obj)u-boot.bin: $(obj)u-boot

Here, $(obj) is empty for in-tree build, whereas it points
to the output directory for out-of-tree build.

And our old build system changes the current working directory
with "make -C <sub-dir>" syntax when descending into the
sub-directories.

On the other hand, Kbuild uses a different idea
to handle out-of-tree build and directory descending.

The build process of Kbuild always occurs under the output tree.
When "O=dir/to/store/output/files" is given, the build system
changes the current working directory to that directory and
restarts the make.

Kbuild uses "make -f $(srctree)/scripts/Makefile.build obj=<sub-dir>"
syntax for descending into sub-directories.
(We can write it like "make $(obj)=<sub-dir>" with a shorthand.)
This means the current working directory is always the top
of the output directory.

0b1b60c779 ARM: OMAP5: Fix warm reset with USB cable connected
Warm reset on OMAP5 freezes when USB cable is connected.
Fix requires PRM_RSTTIME.RSTTIME1 to be programmed
with the time for which reset should be held low for the
voltages and the oscillator to reach stable state.

There are 3 parameters to be considered for calculating
the time, which are mostly board and PMIC dependent.
-1- Time taken by the Oscillator to shut + restart
-2- PMIC OTP times
-3- Voltage rail ramp times, which inturn depends on the
PMIC slew rate and value of the voltage ramp needed.

In order to keep the code in u-boot simple, have a way
for boards to specify a pre computed time directly using
the 'CONFIG_OMAP_PLATFORM_RESET_TIME_MAX_USEC'
option. If boards fail to specify the time, use a default
as specified by 'CONFIG_DEFAULT_OMAP_RESET_TIME_MAX_USEC' instead.
Using the default value translates into some ~22ms and should work in
all cases.
However in order to avoid this large delay hiding other bugs,
its recommended that all boards look at their respective data
sheets and specify a pre computed and optimal value using
'CONFIG_OMAP_PLATFORM_RESET_TIME_MAX_USEC'

In order to help future board additions to compute this
config option value, add a README at doc/README.omap-reset-time
which explains how to compute the value. Also update the toplevel
README with the additional option and pointers to
doc/README.omap-reset-time.

any of the ES versions, a new structure needs to be created.
In order to remove this dependency, making the register
structure generic for all the omap4+ boards.

Removing the duplicated code in ddr3 initialization.
Also creating structure for lpddr2 mode registers to
avoid unnessecary revision checks.

These change reduces code addition for future Socs.

ee9447bfe3 ARM: OMAP4+: Cleanup the clocks layer
Currently there is quite a lot of code which
is duplicated in the clocks code for OMAP 4 and 5
Socs. Avoiding this here by moving the clocks
data to a SOC specific place and the sharing the
common code.

This helps in addition of a new Soc with minimal
changes.

01b753ff7b ARM: OMAP4+: Change the PRCM structure prototype common for all Socs
The current PRCM structure prototype directly matches the hardware
register layout. So there is a need to change this for every new silicon
revision which has register space changes.

Avoiding this by making the prototye generic and populating the register
addresses seperately for all Socs.
