Move this out of the common header and include it only where needed. In a number of cases this requires adding "struct udevice;" to avoid adding another large header or in other cases replacing / adding missing header files that had been pulled in, very indirectly. Finally, we have a few cases where we did not need to include <asm/global_data.h> at all, so remove that include. * Build U-Boot for Meerkat96 board $ make mrproper $ make meerkat96_defconfig $ make It will generate the U-Boot binary called u-boot-dtb.imx * Install U-Boot to MicroSD card Plug MicroSD card to a Linux machine (with card reader), find the device name and replace sd[x] with the name in the following command. $ sudo dd if=u-boot-dtb.imx of=/dev/sd[x] bs=512 seek=2 It will install U-Boot to MicroSD card at 1KiB offset. Insert the card to Meerkat96 MicroSD slot, power up the board, and U-Boot should boot from the card.
