0b3fde1136 omap: overo: allow the use of a plain text env file instead boot scripts
Adapted from d70f5480 described below.

    commit d70f54808d
    Author: Javier Martinez Canillas <javier@dowhile0.org>
    Date: Mon Jan 7 03:51:20 2013 +0000

omap4: allow the use of a plain text env file instead boot scripts

For production systems it is better to use script images since
they are protected by checksums and carry valuable information like
name and timestamp. Also, you can't validate the content passed to
    env import.

But for development, it is easier to use the env import command and
plain text files instead of script-images.

Since both OMAP4 supported boards (Panda and TI SDP4430) are used
primarily for development, this patch allows U-Boot to load env var
from a text file in case that an boot.scr script-image is not present.

The variable uenvcmd (if existent) will be executed (using run) after
uEnv.txt was loaded. If uenvcmd doesn't exist the default boot sequence
    will be started.

a7e36fc95f mtd: nand: omap: remove unused #defines from common omap_gpmc.h
OMAP NAND driver can detect Page-size and OOB-size of NAND device from ONFI
params or nand_id[] table. And based on that it defines ECC layout.
This patch
1) removes following board configs used for defining NAND ECC layout
	- GPMC_NAND_ECC_LP_x16_LAYOUT (for large page x16 NAND)
	- GPMC_NAND_ECC_LP_x8_LAYOUT (for large page x8 NAND)
	- GPMC_NAND_ECC_SP_x16_LAYOUT (for small page x16 NAND)
	- GPMC_NAND_ECC_SP_x8_LAYOUT (for small page x8 NAND)

2) removes unused #defines in common omap_gpmc.h depending on above configs

Build tested using: ./MAKEALL -s am33xx -s omap3 -s omap4 -s omap5

3f719069c8 mtd: nand: omap: add CONFIG_NAND_OMAP_ECCSCHEME for selection of ecc-scheme
This patch adds new CONFIG_NAND_OMAP_ECCSCHEME, replacing other distributed
CONFIG_xx used for selecting NAND ecc-schemes.
This patch aims at solving following issues.

1) Currently ecc-scheme is tied to SoC platform, which prevents user to select
   other ecc-schemes also supported in hardware. like;
 - most of OMAP3 SoC platforms use only 1-bit Hamming ecc-scheme, inspite
the fact that they can use higher ecc-schemes like 8-bit ecc-schemes with
   software based error detection (OMAP_ECC_BCH4_CODE_HW_DETECTION_SW).
 - most of AM33xx SoC plaforms use 8-bit BCH ecc-scheme for now, but hardware
   supports BCH16 ecc-scheme also.

2) Different platforms use different CONFIG_xx to select ecc-schemes, which
adds confusion for user while migrating platforms.
 - *CONFIG_NAND_OMAP_ELM* which enables ELM hardware engine, selects only
    8-bit BCH ecc-scheme with h/w based error-correction (OMAP_ECC_BCH8_CODE_HW)
whereas ELM hardware engine supports other ecc-schemes also like; BCH4,
    and BCH16 (in future).
 - *CONFIG_NAND_OMAP_BCH8* selects 8-bit BCH ecc-scheme with s/w based error
    correction (OMAP_ECC_BCH8_CODE_HW_DETECTION_SW).
 - *CONFIG_SPL_NAND_SOFTECC* selects 1-bit Hamming ecc-scheme using s/w library

Thus adding new *CONFIG_NAND_OMAP_ECCSCHEME* de-couples ecc-scheme dependency
on SoC platform and NAND driver. And user can select ecc-scheme independently
foreach board.
However, selection some hardware based ecc-schemes (OMAP_ECC_BCHx_CODE_HW) still
depends on presence of ELM hardware engine on SoC. (Refer doc/README.nand)

6f2f01b9f3 spl/nand: introduce CONFIG_SPL_NAND_DRIVERS, _BASE, and _ECC.
Some small SPLs do not use nand_base.c, and a subset of those also
require a special driver. Some SPLs need software ECC but others can't
fit it.

All existing boards that specify CONFIG_SPL_NAND_SUPPORT have these
symbols added to preserve existing behavior.

47f7bcae8c SPL: Move the omap SPL framework to common/spl
Add a new flag, CONFIG_SPL_FRAMEWORK to opt into the common/spl SPL
framework, enable on all of the previously using boards. We move the
spl_ymodem.c portion to common/ and spl_mmc.c to drivers/mmc/. We leave
the NAND one in-place as we plan to replace it later in this series.

We use common/spl to avoid linker problems with respect to merging
constant strings in objects. Otherwise all strings in common/ will be
linked in and kept which grows SPL in size too much.

49175c49ba ARM: omap3: Add CONFIG_SPL_BOARD_INIT for CONFIG_SPL_MMC_SUPPORT
As originally reported against beagleboard we currently have the
following error message reported in SPL:

U-Boot SPL 2012.04-00020-gb8310b9-dirty (Apr 25 2012 - 18:49:57)
Texas Instruments Revision detection unimplemented
OMAP SD/MMC: 0
timed out in wait_for_bb: I2C_STAT=1000
reading u-boot.img
....

The reason for above message is that when booting from MMC, I2C needs to
be initialized to talk with the TWL4030. On OMAP3 I2C is only
initalized in SPL if CONFIG_SPL_BOARD_INIT is set.

25ddd1fb0a Replace CONFIG_SYS_GBL_DATA_SIZE by auto-generated value
CONFIG_SYS_GBL_DATA_SIZE has always been just a bad workarond for not
being able to use "sizeof(struct global_data)" in assembler files.
Recent experience has shown that manual synchronization is not
reliable enough. This patch renames CONFIG_SYS_GBL_DATA_SIZE into
GENERATED_GBL_DATA_SIZE which gets automatically generated by the
asm-offsets tool. In the result, all definitions of this value can be
deleted from the board config files. We have to make sure that all
files that reference such data include the new <asm-offsets.h> file.

No other changes have been done yet, but it is obvious that similar
changes / simplifications can be done for other, related macro
definitions as well.

cae377b59a omap3: Consolidate SDRC related operations
Consolidated SDRC related functions into one file - sdrc.c

And also replaced sdrc_init with generic memory init
function (mem_init), this generalization of omap memory setup
is necessary to support the new emif4 interface introduced in AM3517.

632e1d9014 OMAP3 Move declaration of gpmc_cfg.
Every omap3 board config file declared the global variable gpmc_cfg.
This changes moves the declaration to a better location in the
arch dependent header file cpu.h.

1270ec13d4 Remove superfluous uses of V_PROMPT macro.
A number of config files define the V_PROMPT macro for the
command-line prompt, only to immediately use that macro to define
CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT, making V_PROMPT entirely superfluous.
