5019e201cc x86: acpi: Store the ACPI context in global_data
At present we create the ACPI context but then drop it after generation of
tables is complete. This is annoying because we have to then search for
tables later.

To fix this, allocate the context and store it in global_data.

a294ead8d2 dm: Use an allocated array for run-time device info
At present we update the driver_info struct with a pointer to the device
that it created (i.e. caused to be bound). This works fine when U-Boot SPL
is stored in read-write memory. But on some platforms, such as Intel
Apollo Lake, it is not possible to update the data memory.

In any case, it is bad form to put this information in a structure that is
in the data region, since it expands the size of the binary.

Create a new driver_rt structure which holds runtime information about
drivers. Update the code to store the device pointer in this instead.
Also update the test check that this works.

d094a0734c log: allow for message continuation
Some drivers use macro pr_cont() for continuing a message sent via printk.
Hence if we want to convert printk messaging to using the logging system,
we must support continuation of log messages too.

As pr_cont() does not provide a message level we need a means of
remembering the last log level.

With the patch a pseudo log level LOGL_CONT as well as a pseudo log
category LOGC_CONT are introduced. Using these results in the application
of the same log level and category as in the previous log message.

06985289d4 watchdog: Implement generic watchdog_reset() version
This patch tries to implement a generic watchdog_reset() function that
can be used by all boards that want to service the watchdog device in
U-Boot. This watchdog servicing is enabled via CONFIG_WATCHDOG.

Without this approach, new boards or platforms needed to implement a
board specific version of this functionality, mostly copy'ing the same
code over and over again into their board or platforms code base.

With this new generic function, the scattered other functions are now
removed to be replaced by the generic one. The new version also enables
the configuration of the watchdog timeout via the DT "timeout-sec"
property (if enabled via CONFIG_OF_CONTROL).

This patch also adds a new flag to the GD flags, to flag that the
watchdog is ready to use and adds the pointer to the watchdog device
to the GD. This enables us to remove the global "watchdog_dev"
variable, which was prone to cause problems because of its potentially
very early use in watchdog_reset(), even before the BSS is cleared.

f2100f6f77 dm: core: Change platform specific translation-offset handling
Testing has shown that the current DM implementation of a platform /
board specific translation offset, as its needed for the SPL on MVEBU
platforms is buggy. The translation offset is confingured too late,
after the driver bind functions are run. This may result in incorrect
address translations. With the current implementation its not possible
to configure the offset earlier, as the DM code has not run at all.

This patch now removed the set_/get_translation_offset() calls and
moves the translation offset into the GD variable translation_offset.
This variable will get used when CONFIG_TRANSLATION_OFFSET is enabled.
This option is enabled only for MVEBU on ARM32 platforms, where its
currenty needed and configured in the SPL.

f1d2bc9034 lib: fdtdec: Add function re-setup the fdt more effeciently
In some cases it may be useful to be able to change the fdt we have been
using and use another one instead. For example, the TI platforms uses an
EEPROM to store board information and, based on the type of board,
different dtbs are used by the SPL. When DM_I2C is used, a first dtb must
be used before the I2C is initialized and only then the final dtb can be
selected.
To speed up the process and reduce memory usage, introduce a new function
fdtdec_setup_best_match() that re-use the DTBs loaded in memory by
fdtdec_setup() to select the best match.

d30ba2315a u-boot: remove driver lookup loop from env_save()
When called with ENVOP_SAVE, env_get_location() only returns the
gd->env_load_location variable without actually checking for
the environment location and priority.

This behaviour causes env_save() to fall into an infinite loop when

The env_save() function should not loop through the environment
location list but it should save the environment into the location
stored in gd->env_load_location by the last env_load() call.

83d290c56f SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel style
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and
there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the
area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it
with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the
Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first
line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line)
and with slightly different comment styles than us.

In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility
and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style.

This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared
license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag
contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag
and have introduced one.

e1caa5841e env: Fix env_load_location
Commit 7d714a24d7 ("env: Support multiple environments") added
static variable env_load_location. When saving environmental
variables, this variable is presumed to have the value set before.
In case the value was set before relocation and U-Boot runs from a
NOR flash, this variable wasn't writable. This causes failure when
saving the environment. To save this location, global data must be
used instead.

b383d6c05e bootstage: Convert to use malloc()
At present bootstage uses the data section of the image to store its
information. There are a few problems with this:

- It does not work on all boards (e.g. those which run from flash before
relocation)
- Allocated strings still point back to the pre-relocation data after
relocation

Now that U-Boot has a pre-relocation malloc() we can use this instead,
with a pointer to the data in global_data. Update bootstage to do this and
set up an init routine to allocate the memory.

Now that we have a real init function, we can drop the fake 'reset' record
and add a normal one instead.

Note that part of the problem with allocated strings remains. They are
reallocated but this will only work where pre-relocation memory is
accessible after relocation.

5a54194515 dm: common: Add memory reservation for the video uclass
Before relocation we need to reserve memory for the video driver frame
buffers so that they can use this memory when they start up (after
relocation). Add a call to the uclass to permit this.

The current top and bottom of the region is stored in global_data so that
it can be checked post-relocation to ensure enough memory is available. No
video device should be probed before relocation.

e81495224f Reserve secure memory
Secure memory is at the end of memory, separated and reserved
from OS, tracked by gd->secure_ram. Secure memory can host
MMU tables, security monitor, etc. This is different from PRAM
used to reserve private memory. PRAM offers memory at the top
of u-boot memory, not necessarily the real end of memory for
systems with very large DDR. Using the end of memory simplifies
MMU setup and avoid memory fragmentation.

"bdinfo" command shows gd->secure_ram value if this memory is
marked as secured.

9854a8748c console: Add a console buffer
It is useful to be able to record console output and provide console input
via a buffer. This provides sandbox with the ability to run a command and
check its output. If the console is set to silent then no visible output
is generated.

This also provides a means to fix the problem where tests produce unwanted
output, such as errors or warnings. This can be confusing. We can instead
set the console to silent and record this output. It can be checked later
in the test if required.

It is possible that this may prove useful for non-test situations. For
example the console output may be suppressed for normal operations, but
recorded and stored for access by the OS. That feature is not implemented
at present.

2212e69bc0 Revert "Align global_data to a 16-byte boundary"
This causes widespread breakage due to the operation of the low-level code
in crt0.S and cro0_64.S for ARM at least.

The fix is not complicated but it seems safer to revert this for now.

This reverts commit 2afddae075.

2afddae075 Align global_data to a 16-byte boundary
Some archs like to have larger alignment for their global data. Use 16 bytes
which suits all current archs.
