With Pytest 6.0.2 'make tests' fails:

The definition of console_scripts has changed as follows:
Pytest 4.6.1:

py.test=pytest:main
Pytest 6.0.2:
[options.entry_points]
console_scripts =
pytest=pytest:console_main
py.test=pytest:console_main
The new function console_main() has a comment:
"This function is not meant for programmable use; use `main()`"
Hence let's call pytest.main() directly.
Move args processing into the __main__ paragraph.

Now that we have moved to being based on pytest for python3 we need to
make our test.py wrapper more robust in terms of only calling python3
rather than possibly finding and using python2. To do this, change from
execvp()'ing pytest to invoking the package itself via python. In the
event that pytest is unavailable we still get a user-friendly error:
pkg_resources.DistributionNotFound: The 'pytest' distribution was not found and is required by the application

Use the 2to3 tool to perform numerous automatic conversions from Python
2 syntax to Python 3. Also fix whitespace problems that Python 3
catches that Python 2 did not.

In python 3.x print must be called as a function rather than used as a
statement. Update uses of print to the function call syntax in order to
be python 3.x safe.

When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and
there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the
area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it
with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the
Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first
line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line)
and with slightly different comment styles than us.
In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility
and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style.
This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared
license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag
contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag
and have introduced one.

All of these host tools are apparently written for Python2,
not Python3.

The test/py/test.py wrapper script catches exceptions thrown when
exec()ing py.test in order to print a helpful error message. However,
the exception handling code squashes the exception and so the script
exits with a non-zero exit code, leading callers to believe that it
passed. Fix this.

When converting test/py from " to ', I missed a few places (or added a
few inconsistencies later). Fix these.
Note that only quotes in code are converted; double-quotes in comments
and HTML are left as-is, since English and HTML use " not '.

This tool aims to test U-Boot by executing U-Boot shell commands using the
console interface. A single top-level script exists to execute or attach
to the U-Boot console, run the entire script of tests against it, and
summarize the results. Advantages of this approach are:
- Testing is performed in the same way a user or script would interact
with U-Boot; there can be no disconnect.
- There is no need to write or embed test-related code into U-Boot itself.
It is asserted that writing test-related code in Python is simpler and
more flexible that writing it all in C.
- It is reasonably simple to interact with U-Boot in this way.
A few simple tests are provided as examples. Soon, we should convert as
many as possible of the other tests in test/* and test/cmd_ut.c too.
The hook scripts, relay control utilities, and udev rules I use for my
own HW setup are published at https://github.com/swarren/uboot-test-hooks.
