commit 4a1e25c0a029b97ea4a3d423a6392bfacc3b2e39 upstream.

During a USB cable disconnect, or soft disconnect scenario, a pending
SETUP transaction may not be completed, leading to the following
error:

    dwc3 a600000.dwc3: timed out waiting for SETUP phase

If this occurs, then the entire pullup disable routine is skipped and
proper cleanup and halting of the controller does not complete.

Instead of returning an error (which is ignored from the UDC
perspective), allow the pullup disable routine to continue, which
will also handle disabling of EP0/1. This will end any active
transfers as well. Ensure to clear any delayed_status also, as the
timeout could happen within the STATUS stage.

commit 51f1954ad853d01ba4dc2b35dee14d8490ee05a1 upstream.

We can't depend on the TRB's HWO bit to determine if the TRB ring is
"full". A TRB is only available when the driver had processed it, not
when the controller consumed and relinquished the TRB's ownership to the
driver. Otherwise, the driver may overwrite unprocessed TRBs. This can
happen when many transfer events accumulate and the system is slow to
process them and/or when there are too many small requests.

If a request is in the started_list, that means there is one or more
unprocessed TRBs remained. Check this instead of the TRB's HWO bit
whether the TRB ring is full.

Wesley Cheng 5f4ab7e25f usb: dwc3: gadget: Avoid runtime resume if disabling pullup
[ Upstream commit cb10f68ad8150f243964b19391711aaac5e8ff42 ]

If the device is already in the runtime suspended state, any call to
the pullup routine will issue a runtime resume on the DWC3 core
device. If the USB gadget is disabling the pullup, then avoid having
to issue a runtime resume, as DWC3 gadget has already been
halted/stopped.

This fixes an issue where the following condition occurs:

usb_gadget_remove_driver()
-->usb_gadget_disconnect()
 -->dwc3_gadget_pullup(0)
  -->pm_runtime_get_sync() -> ret = 0
  -->pm_runtime_put() [async]
-->usb_gadget_udc_stop()
 -->dwc3_gadget_stop()
  -->dwc->gadget_driver = NULL
...

dwc3_suspend_common()
-->dwc3_gadget_suspend()
 -->DWC3 halt/stop routine skipped, driver_data == NULL

This leads to a situation where the DWC3 gadget is not properly
stopped, as the runtime resume would have re-enabled EP0 and event
interrupts, and since we avoided the DWC3 gadget suspend, these
resources were never disabled.

[ Upstream commit 8212937305f84ef73ea81036dafb80c557583d4b ]

Current sequence utilizes dwc3_gadget_disable_irq() alongside
synchronize_irq() to ensure that no further DWC3 events are generated.
However, the dwc3_gadget_disable_irq() API only disables device
specific events. Endpoint events can still be generated. Briefly
disable the interrupt line, so that the cleanup code can run to
prevent device and endpoint events. (i.e. __dwc3_gadget_stop() and
dwc3_stop_active_transfers() respectively)

Without doing so, it can lead to both the interrupt handler and the
pullup disable routine both writing to the GEVNTCOUNT register, which
will cause an incorrect count being read from future interrupts.

[ Upstream commit f09ddcfcb8c569675066337adac2ac205113471f ]

In the situations where the DWC3 gadget stops active transfers, once
calling the dwc3_gadget_giveback(), there is a chance where a function
driver can queue a new USB request in between the time where the dwc3
lock has been released and re-aquired. This occurs after we've already
issued an ENDXFER command. When the stop active transfers continues
to remove USB requests from all dep lists, the newly added request will
also be removed, while controller still has an active TRB for it.
This can lead to the controller accessing an unmapped memory address.

Fix this by ensuring parameters to prevent EP queuing are set before
calling the stop active transfers API.

[ Upstream commit 77adb8bdf4227257e26b7ff67272678e66a0b250 ]

The DWC3 runtime suspend routine checks for the USB connected parameter to
determine if the controller can enter into a low power state. The
connected state is only set to false after receiving a disconnect event.
However, in the case of a device initiated disconnect (i.e. UDC unbind),
the controller is halted and a disconnect event is never generated. Set
the connected flag to false if issuing a device initiated disconnect to
allow the controller to be suspended.

In the DWC3 databook, for a device initiated disconnect or bus reset, the
driver is required to send dependxfer commands for any pending transfers.
In addition, before the controller can move to the halted state, the SW
needs to acknowledge any pending events. If the controller is not halted
properly, there is a chance the controller will continue accessing stale or
freed TRBs and buffers.

Jack Pham d7e403eea0 usb: dwc3: debugfs: Add and remove endpoint dirs dynamically
commit 8d396bb0a5b62b326f6be7594d8bd46b088296bd upstream.

The DWC3 DebugFS directory and files are currently created once
during probe. This includes creation of subdirectories for each
of the gadget's endpoints. This works fine for peripheral-only
controllers, as dwc3_core_init_mode() calls dwc3_gadget_init()
just prior to calling dwc3_debugfs_init().

However, for dual-role controllers, dwc3_core_init_mode() will
instead call dwc3_drd_init() which is problematic in a few ways.
First, the initial state must be determined, then dwc3_set_mode()
will have to schedule drd_work and by then dwc3_debugfs_init()
could have already been invoked. Even if the initial mode is
peripheral, dwc3_gadget_init() happens after the DebugFS files
are created, and worse so if the initial state is host and the
controller switches to peripheral much later. And secondly,
even if the gadget endpoints' debug entries were successfully
created, if the controller exits peripheral mode, its dwc3_eps
are freed so the debug files would now hold stale references.

So it is best if the DebugFS endpoint entries are created and
removed dynamically at the same time the underlying dwc3_eps are.
Do this by calling dwc3_debugfs_create_endpoint_dir() as each
endpoint is created, and conversely remove the DebugFS entry when
the endpoint is freed.

Thinh Nguyen 6b5bfb8ce5 usb: dwc3: gadget: Properly track pending and queued SG
commit 25dda9fc56bd90d45f9a4516bcfa5211e61b4290 upstream.

The driver incorrectly uses req->num_pending_sgs to track both the
number of pending and queued SG entries. It only prepares the next
request if the previous is done, and it doesn't update num_pending_sgs
until there is TRB completion interrupt. This may starve the controller
of more TRBs until the num_pending_sgs is decremented.

Fix this by decrementing the num_pending_sgs after they are queued and
properly track both num_mapped_sgs and num_queued_sgs.

commit d1d90dd27254c44d087ad3f8b5b3e4fff0571f45 upstream.

commit 72704f876f ("dwc3: gadget: Implement the suspend entry event
handler") introduced (nearly 5 years ago!) an interrupt handler for
U3/L1-L2 suspend events. The problem is that these events aren't
currently enabled in the DEVTEN register so the handler is never
even invoked. Fix this simply by enabling the corresponding bit
in dwc3_gadget_enable_irq() using the same revision check as found
in the handler.

commit 18ffa988dbae69cc6e9949cddd9606f6fe533894 upstream.

If an error is received when issuing a start or update transfer

returning an error for kick transfer during EP queue, to remove

commit c560e76319a94a3b9285bc426c609903408e4826 upstream.

The START_TRANSFER command needs to be executed while in ON/U0 link
state (with an exception during register initialization). Don't use
dwc->link_state to check this since the driver only tracks the link
state when the link state change interrupt is enabled. Check the link
state from DSTS register instead.

Note that often the host already brings the device out of low power
before it sends/requests the next transfer. So, the user won't see any
issue when the device starts transfer then. This issue is more
noticeable in cases when the device delays starting transfer, which can
happen during delayed control status after the host put the device in
low power.

The current dwc3_gadget_reset_interrupt() will stop any active
transfers, but only addresses blocking of EP queuing for while we are
coming from a disconnected scenario, i.e. after receiving the disconnect
event. If the host decides to issue a bus reset on the device, the
connected parameter will still be set to true, allowing for EP queuing
to continue while we are disabling the functions. To avoid this, set the
connected flag to false until the stop active transfers is complete.

frames per interval and not 2^(bInterval - 1). So fix it here. This
change is only for debugging purpose and should not affect the interrupt
endpoint operation.

John Stultz 20a6d2455c dwc3: Remove check for HWO flag in dwc3_gadget_ep_reclaim_trb_sg()
commit 00e21763f2c8cab21b7befa52996d1b18bde5c42 upstream.

The check for the HWO flag in dwc3_gadget_ep_reclaim_trb_sg()
causes us to break out of the loop before we call
dwc3_gadget_ep_reclaim_completed_trb(), which is what likely
should be clearing the HWO flag.

This can cause odd behavior where we never reclaim all the trbs
in the sg list, so we never call giveback on a usb req, and that
will causes transfer stalls.

This effectively resovles the adb stalls seen on HiKey960
after userland changes started only using AIO in adbd.

Thinh Nguyen 5087c7f4e7 usb: dwc3: gadget: Properly set maxpacket limit
[ Upstream commit d94ea5319813658ad5861d161ae16a194c2abf88 ]

Currently the calculation of max packet size limit for IN endpoints is
too restrictive. This prevents a matching of a capable hardware endpoint
during configuration. Below is the minimum recommended HW configuration
to support a particular endpoint setup from the databook:

For OUT endpoints, the databook recommended the minimum RxFIFO size to
be at least 3x MaxPacketSize + 3x setup packets size (8 bytes each) +
clock crossing margin (16 bytes).

For IN endpoints, the databook recommended the minimum TxFIFO size to be
at least 3x MaxPacketSize for endpoints that support burst. If the
endpoint doesn't support burst or when the device is operating in USB
2.0 mode, a minimum TxFIFO size of 2x MaxPacketSize is recommended.

Base on these recommendations, we can calculate the MaxPacketSize limit
of each endpoint. This patch revises the IN endpoint MaxPacketSize limit
and also sets the MaxPacketSize limit for OUT endpoints.

Thinh Nguyen 7067a62563 usb: dwc3: gadget: Do link recovery for SS and SSP
commit d0550cd20e52558ecf6847a0f96ebd5d944c17e4 upstream.

The controller always supports link recovery for device in SS and SSP.
Remove the speed limit check. Also, when the device is in RESUME or
RESET state, it means the controller received the resume/reset request.
The driver must send the link recovery to acknowledge the request. They
are valid states for the driver to send link recovery.

Thinh Nguyen bf996950d8 usb: dwc3: gadget: Fix request completion check
commit 49e0590e3a60e75b493e5df879e216e5073c7663 upstream.

A request may not be completed because not all the TRBs are prepared for
it. This happens when we run out of available TRBs. When some TRBs are
completed, the driver needs to prepare the rest of the TRBs for the
request. The check dwc3_gadget_ep_request_completed() shouldn't be
checking the amount of data received but rather the number of pending
TRBs. Revise this request completion check.

commit a114c4ca64bd522aec1790c7e5c60c882f699d8f upstream.

We track END_TRANSFER command completion. Don't clear transfer
started/ended flag prematurely. Otherwise, we'd run into the problem
with restarting transfer before END_TRANSFER command finishes.

commit 2dedea035ae82c5af0595637a6eda4655532b21e upstream.

When skipping TRBs, we need to account for wrapping around the ring
buffer and not modifying some invalid TRBs. Without this fix, dwc3 won't
be able to check for available TRBs.

Li Jun c78d206f49 MLK-23412-15 usb: dwc3: gadget: do run stop if core is inited
As we use core_inited for handling device mode pm, so we can
use it to better check if we can do run stop now, this is needed
if dwc->dev is runtime suspended before system sleep, after system
resume by usb, we need resume gadget by system resume without
runtime resume happened, see below sequence:
1. dwc3 core runtime suspended
2. system suspend: core suspend
3. system resume: core resume -> pm_runtime_set_active()
   Then core runtime resume no chance to be called,
   because current condition check:
   if (pm_runtime_suspended())
		return;
   run_stop can't be enabled.

Li Jun 1ead578c33 MLK-23531 usb: dwc3: gadget: add skip_remain_trbs flag
If we're in the middle of series of chained TRBs and we
receive a short transfer along the way, DWC3 will skip
through all TRBs including the last TRB in the chain, DWC3
will avoid clearing HWO bit and SW has to do it manually.
but currect code can't hit the condition when loop sgs of
request in dwc3_gadget_ep_reclaim_trb_sg() if short packet
received for one chained trb, because it only check the HWO
bit of all trbs and then break if it's 1, so the remain trbs
has no chance to be handled by dwc3_gadget_ep_reclaim_completed_trb(),
this patch adds a flag if received a short packet in a chained
trb, and let dwc3_gadget_ep_reclaim_trb_sg() continue handle
all trbs and give back to function driver.
