Nipun Gupta 2a6db719c9 iommu/of: make of_pci_map_rid() available for other devices too
iommu-map property is also used by devices with fsl-mc. This
patch moves the of_pci_map_rid to generic location, so that it
can be used by other busses too.

'of_pci_map_rid' is renamed here to 'of_map_rid' and there is no
functional change done in the API.

Rob Herring 9e2aee80c7 PCI: Move private DT related functions into private header
The functions in linux/of_pci.h are primarily used by host bridge
drivers, so they can be private to drivers/pci/.

The remaining functions are still used mostly in host bridge drivers
that still live in arch specific code. Hopefully someday, those will get
moved into drivers/pci as well.

Guenter Roeck a6f1086e29 PCI: Move of_irq_parse_and_map_pci() declaration under OF_IRQ
Since commit 4670d610d5 ("PCI: Move OF-related PCI functions into
PCI core"), sparc:allmodconfig fails to build with the following error.

  pcie-cadence-host.c:(.text+0x4c4): undefined reference to `of_irq_parse_and_map_pci'
  pcie-cadence-host.c:(.text+0x4c8): undefined reference to `of_irq_parse_and_map_pci'

of_irq_parse_and_map_pci() is now only available if OF_IRQ is enabled.
Make its declaration and its dummy function dependent on OF_IRQ to solve
the problem.

Greg Kroah-Hartman b24413180f License cleanup: add SPDX GPL-2.0 license identifier to files with no license
Many source files in the tree are missing licensing information, which
makes it harder for compliance tools to determine the correct license.

By default all files without license information are under the default
license of the kernel, which is GPL version 2.

Update the files which contain no license information with the 'GPL-2.0'
SPDX license identifier.  The SPDX identifier is a legally binding
shorthand, which can be used instead of the full boiler plate text.

This patch is based on work done by Thomas Gleixner and Kate Stewart and
Philippe Ombredanne.

How this work was done:

Patches were generated and checked against linux-4.14-rc6 for a subset of
the use cases:
 - file had no licensing information it it.
 - file was a */uapi/* one with no licensing information in it,
 - file was a */uapi/* one with existing licensing information,

Further patches will be generated in subsequent months to fix up cases
where non-standard license headers were used, and references to license
had to be inferred by heuristics based on keywords.

The analysis to determine which SPDX License Identifier to be applied to
a file was done in a spreadsheet of side by side results from of the
output of two independent scanners (ScanCode & Windriver) producing SPDX
tag:value files created by Philippe Ombredanne.  Philippe prepared the
base worksheet, and did an initial spot review of a few 1000 files.

The 4.13 kernel was the starting point of the analysis with 60,537 files
assessed.  Kate Stewart did a file by file comparison of the scanner
results in the spreadsheet to determine which SPDX license identifier(s)
to be applied to the file. She confirmed any determination that was not
immediately clear with lawyers working with the Linux Foundation.

Criteria used to select files for SPDX license identifier tagging was:
 - Files considered eligible had to be source code files.
 - Make and config files were included as candidates if they contained >5
   lines of source
 - File already had some variant of a license header in it (even if <5
   lines).

All documentation files were explicitly excluded.

The following heuristics were used to determine which SPDX license
identifiers to apply.

 - when both scanners couldn't find any license traces, file was
   considered to have no license information in it, and the top level
   COPYING file license applied.

   For non */uapi/* files that summary was:

   and that resulted in the third patch in this series.

 - when the two scanners agreed on the detected license(s), that became
   the concluded license(s).

 - when there was disagreement between the two scanners (one detected a
   license but the other didn't, or they both detected different
   licenses) a manual inspection of the file occurred.

 - In most cases a manual inspection of the information in the file
   resulted in a clear resolution of the license that should apply (and
   which scanner probably needed to revisit its heuristics).

 - When it was not immediately clear, the license identifier was
   confirmed with lawyers working with the Linux Foundation.

 - If there was any question as to the appropriate license identifier,
   the file was flagged for further research and to be revisited later
   in time.

In total, over 70 hours of logged manual review was done on the
spreadsheet to determine the SPDX license identifiers to apply to the
source files by Kate, Philippe, Thomas and, in some cases, confirmation
by lawyers working with the Linux Foundation.

Kate also obtained a third independent scan of the 4.13 code base from
FOSSology, and compared selected files where the other two scanners
disagreed against that SPDX file, to see if there was new insights.  The
Windriver scanner is based on an older version of FOSSology in part, so
they are related.

Thomas did random spot checks in about 500 files from the spreadsheets
for the uapi headers and agreed with SPDX license identifier in the
files he inspected. For the non-uapi files Thomas did random spot checks
in about 15000 files.

In initial set of patches against 4.14-rc6, 3 files were found to have
copy/paste license identifier errors, and have been fixed to reflect the
correct identifier.

Additionally Philippe spent 10 hours this week doing a detailed manual
inspection and review of the 12,461 patched files from the initial patch
version early this week with:
 - a full scancode scan run, collecting the matched texts, detected
   license ids and scores
 - reviewing anything where there was a license detected (about 500+
   files) to ensure that the applied SPDX license was correct
 - reviewing anything where there was no detection but the patch license
   was not GPL-2.0 WITH Linux-syscall-note to ensure that the applied
   SPDX license was correct

This produced a worksheet with 20 files needing minor correction.  This
worksheet was then exported into 3 different .csv files for the
different types of files to be modified.

These .csv files were then reviewed by Greg.  Thomas wrote a script to
parse the csv files and add the proper SPDX tag to the file, in the
format that the file expected.  This script was further refined by Greg
based on the output to detect more types of files automatically and to
distinguish between header and source .c files (which need different
comment types.)  Finally Greg ran the script using the .csv files to
generate the patches.

Thomas Petazzoni a26356ab93 of/pci: Remove unused MSI controller helpers
All users of the small MSI controller API have been migrated to use the
generic MSI infrastructure instead. We no longer need a global chained list
of msi_controller. Instead, MSI controllers are now represented as IRQ
domains attached to OF nodes, and the resolution between a device
requesting an MSI and the corresponding MSI controller is done by the
generic interrupt resolution logic.

Therefore, this API is now completely useless, and can be removed from the
kernel.

This new helper function could be used by host drivers to get the limitaion
of max link speed provided by DT.  If the property isn't assigned or is
invalid, it will return -EINVAL to the caller.

Robin Murphy 987068fcbd of/irq: Break out msi-map lookup (again)
The PCI msi-map code is already doing double-duty translating IDs and
retrieving MSI parents, which unsurprisingly is the same functionality
we need for the identically-formatted PCI iommu-map property. Drag the
core parsing routine up yet another layer into the general OF-PCI code,
and further generalise it for either kind of lookup in either flavour
of map property.

Robin Murphy 5c1d3310d8 drivers: of: Fix of_pci.h header guard
The compilation of of_pci.c is governed by CONFIG_OF_PCI, but the
corresponding declarations in of_pci.h are inconsistently guarded by
CONFIG_OF, with the result that if CONFIG_PCI is disabled for an OF
platform, the dangling external declarations are still active and the
inline stub definitions not. So far this has managed to go unnoticed
since it happens that the only references to these functions are from
code which itself depends on CONFIG_PCI or CONFIG_OF_PCI.

Fix this with the appropriate config guard so that any new callers
outside PCI-specific code don't start unexpectedly breaking under
certain configs.

Marc Zyngier f81c11af61 of/pci: Add of_pci_check_probe_only to parse "linux,pci-probe-only"
Both pci-host-generic and Pseries parse the "linux,pci-probe-only" property
to engage the PCI_PROBE_ONLY mode, and both have a subtle bug that can be
triggered if the property has no parameter.

Provide a generic, safe implementation that can be used by both.

Liviu Dudau 41e5c0f81d of/pci: Add pci_get_new_domain_nr() and of_get_pci_domain_nr()
Add pci_get_new_domain_nr() to allocate a new domain number and
of_get_pci_domain_nr() to retrieve the PCI domain number of a given device
from DT.  Host bridge drivers or architecture-specific code can choose to
implement their PCI domain number policy using these two functions.

Using of_get_pci_domain_nr() guarantees a stable PCI domain number on every
boot provided that all host bridge controllers are assigned a number in the
device tree using "linux,pci-domain" property.  Mixing use of
pci_get_new_domain_nr() and of_get_pci_domain_nr() is not recommended as it

As pointed out by Ben Dooks and Geert Uytterhoeven, this is actually
supposed to build fine, which we can achieve if we make the
declaration of of_irq_parse_and_map_pci conditional on CONFIG_OF
and provide an empty inline function otherwise, as we do for
a lot of other of interfaces.

This lets us build the rcar_pci driver again without CONFIG_OF
for build testing. All platforms using this driver select OF,
so this doesn't change anything for the users.

Grant Likely 0c02c8007e of/irq: Rename of_irq_map_* functions to of_irq_parse_*
The OF irq handling code has been overloading the term 'map' to refer to
both parsing the data in the device tree and mapping it to the internal
linux irq system. This is probably because the device tree does have the
concept of an 'interrupt-map' function for translating interrupt
references from one node to another, but 'map' is still confusing when
the primary purpose of some of the functions are to parse the DT data.

This patch renames all the of_irq_map_* functions to of_irq_parse_*
which makes it clear that there is a difference between the parsing
phase and the mapping phase. Kernel code can make use of just the
parsing or just the mapping support as needed by the subsystem.

The patch was generated mechanically with a handful of sed commands.

Benjamin Herrenschmidt 98d9f30c82 pci/of: Match PCI devices to OF nodes dynamically
powerpc has two different ways of matching PCI devices to their
corresponding OF node (if any) for historical reasons. The ppc64 one
does a scan looking for matching bus/dev/fn, while the ppc32 one does a
scan looking only for matching dev/fn on each level in order to be
agnostic to busses being renumbered (which Linux does on some
platforms).

This removes both and instead moves the matching code to the PCI core
itself. It's the most logical place to do it: when a pci_dev is created,
we know the parent and thus can do a single level scan for the matching
device_node (if any).

The benefit is that all archs now get the matching for free. There's one
hook the arch might want to provide to match a PHB bus to its device
node. A default weak implementation is provided that looks for the
parent device device node, but it's not entirely reliable on powerpc for
various reasons so powerpc provides its own.
